 Training Session, 04/23/10

FFGRRescue hosted a training session for volunteers, fosters, adopters, and adopters-to-be on April 23rd at the Camarillo Grove Park. Shannon Coyner of Ventura Pet Wellness & Dog Training Center demonstrated the effectiveness of the Gentle Leader head collar and training for basic commands. She also discussed how to transition a new rescue dog into a new foster or forever home, especially introducing it to the resident dog. A light lunch was enjoyed and three dogs found their forever homes as a result of the session (one on the spot, two later)!
