TEDDY is a 2-year-old golden retriever who is mixed with Border Collie. Teddy was originally found in a shelter and adopted by a family who gave him up to FFGRR  after a new baby came along. Teddy is a very timid dog who lacks confidence. His  perfect home  would include someone with a lot of PATIENCE...either a single lady or a quiet retired couple. Teddy is more afraid of men but does come around and will bond to his adopter when shown patience and love. Teddy has worked with the FFGRR trainer and behavioral specialist and she has developed a specific training plan for him. Teddy loves to play with other dogs and could go to a home with a mellow dog. He would also be fine in a home where children visit occasionally. Teddy is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is a smaller golden...weighing in at 45 pounds. NEVINS is looking for a new home because his family could no longer care for him. He is a wonderful 6 year old, easy going, boy who just wants to be loved. He should probably go to a home with no other dogs since he loves to have all the human attention but he did pass his cat "test" with flying colors. Nevins has grown up with young children. Nevins needs to learn some house manners and basic obedience. He has done some "counter surfing" in his foster home but responds well to a firm "no." MINNIE came into rescue with her friend, Mickey. They lived in a backyard and were used as breeders. Minnie is 7 years old and ready for a new life without Mickey. She is a good listener and does better when Mickey is not around.  Minnie is sweet and loving to the humans around her. Minnie does not want to go to Disneyland in 2011....all she wants is to go to a new home...where she will get the love and attention that she deserves and be allowed to live inside! MICKEY is new to rescue. He came to us when his owner lost his home and was forced to turn Mickey and Minnie into a shelter. Mickey did not have the best of lives. He was kept in the backyard and used as a breeder with Minnie for most of his 8 years. Mickey is a sweet dog, a little bit insecure, but with the typical golden personality. Mickey enjoys the company of other dogs and will need to go to a home with a canine friend.  His humans needs to be patient and understanding as Mickey learns what it is like to live inside of a house.
